Purveyors of New & Used Books

OUR LOCATION

Main Street Books is at 426 Main Street, in the historic Brown-Feuer Building. Built in 1837, the Brown-Feuer Building features exposed brick walls and original, restored tin ceiling tiles. This space was formerly home to City News, a longtime newsstand and source of magazines and books to the Lafayette community.

The bookstore is owned and operated by Ted and Tamzin Malone, and their family of avid readers.

We buy used books!

We are looking for paperback fiction books that are new enough to have bar codes, and are in good condition. We are currently NOT buying any mystery/suspense/thriller books. We pay 50 cents cash, or $1.00 store credit for each book we can use.

We’re buying books any time that we are open.  We have a limit of two boxes per person per visit. Any books not picked up within 48 hours will be donated.
